Solo & Ensemble Results

Solo & Ensemble Results

Congratulations to the Katy High School Choir students listed below. They earned 1^st Division ratings from their judges at the UIL Region 23 Solo & Ensemble Contest held on February 4^th at Lamar High School. Soloists whose names are in bold type performed Class 1 solos, and therefore qualify to advance to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Austin in May. The trio and the three madrigals also advance to TSSEC. (Medium ensembles don’t advance to TSSEC, so the Cantante groups don’t move on.)

Thanks to all of the chaperones who helped so much during the contest!!! We could not have done it without you, so students, you need to thank these wonderful parents who helped make this great day possible.

Altogether, the Katy High School Choir students earned ninety-six 1^st Division medals! A total of thirty-six students will be going to TSSEC in May.
